Platinum Construction is currently seeking applicants for a PROJECT MANAGER/SUPERINTENDENT position. Platinum Construction is a full-service residential construction company located in Houston, Texas. We specialize in everything from renovations, additions, and restoration from losses due to water, fire, and natural disasters. Our top goal is to deliver each project safely, efficiently, and in budget.

 

Job Overview

A project manager’s works in a managerial role overseeing subcontractors and crews on residential construction projects. Their role is to run all aspects of construction projects start to finish.

 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage trades

  • Create project budgets for labor, supplies, and materials

  • Create schedules for trades and projects

  • Supervise projects

  • Read construction drawings

  • Complete projects and individual tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Deliver project materials as needed

  • Meet with clients to discuss project progress, schedule, and budget.

  • Write estimates, change orders, emailed progress updates to clients.

  • Business development and bringing in new clients

  • Run projects start to finish

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and designers

  • Knowledge to be able to comply with building codes and standards

 

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word) and knowledgeable in operating a computer

  • 3+ years of experience in construction

  • Own a truck capable of hauling heavy loads and trailers

  • Willingness to learn Spanish

  • General “handyman” skills
